Reduced Climate and Environmental Impact

We take responsibility for minimizing our environmental impact by using fewer resources and sustainable materials. Aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, Axelent focuses on continuous improvements in energy, environment, and safety, aiming for long-term sustainability. From wind and solar energy to recyclable products, we comply with regulations to reduce our footprint and protect biodiversity.

Our way to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals

Energy consumption

Axelent strives to reduce energy consumption per panel through logging, measurement, and control. In 2024, a part of the production stage was brought in-house, setting a new baseline. Premises are heated with geothermal energy, which is also used for cooling machines and office. In 2024, 53% of Axelent AB’s energy use was covered by own wind and solar power - a decrease due to increased in-house production. The goal remains to match 100% of consumed energy with own renewable sources.

Recycling and waste

We are committed to using natural resources efficiently, focusing on recycling and reusing materials. Our mesh panels are 99% recyclable, and we collaborate with industry leaders in recycling. We continuously streamline processes to reduce waste and improve raw material use, tracking scrap monthly to take actions that minimize it. In 2024, we reduced our scrap by almost 15 tons.
