Sustainability At Axelent
At Axelent, sustainability is an integral part of how we create safer workplaces and build a stronger business for the future. By combining safety, innovation and responsibility, we create value for customers, employees and society while working towards our vision of creating the world's safest workplaces.
Our sustainability work
Our sustainability work is built on a long-term perspective where business growth, environmental responsibility and people development go hand in hand.
For us, success is not just about growth in numbers, but about the positive impact we have on people, businesses and communities every day.

Our vision, mission and long-term direction
Our vision is to create the world's safest workplaces by always putting people first.. Our mission is to protect people and strengthen workplaces through safety solutions for the entire workplace.
As we continue to grow, sustainability remains a key part of our strategy. Our long-term ambition is to reach SEK 2.5 billion in revenue by 2030 while maintaining sustainable profitability.
To achieve this, we focus on four strategic areas that guide both our business and sustainability efforts.
Our four focus areas
Sustainable safety
Creating safer workplaces is at the core of our business. Sustainable Safety is about reducing our environmental impact while continuously strengthening the safety at work across our operations and value chain.
Through resource efficiency, climate action and a strong safety culture, we create long-term value for customers, employees and society.
Climate goals for 2030
In 2025, Axelent established an overarching climate target: to reduce total greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030 compared with 2021 levels.
The largest share of our climate impact comes from Scope 3 emissions, primarily linked to products containing steel. Achieving our target therefore depends largely on material choices, product development and close collaboration with suppliers throughout our value chain.
Climate impact
In 2025, Axelent's total greenhouse gas emissions amounted to 27,749 tonnes of CO₂e, representing a reduction compared with the previous year.
Approximately 99.9% of our emissions originated from Scope 3 activities and were primarily linked to purchased goods and services, particularly steel. This highlights the importance of collaboration throughout our value chain and continued efforts to reduce the climate impact of the materials we use.
The distribution of emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3 is shown below.

Energy and resource efficiency
Improving energy and resource efficiency is an important part of our sustainability work.
Our long-term ambition is to match 100% of our energy consumption with self-generated renewable energy through our investments in wind and solar power. In 2025, Axelent's ownership in wind power and solar installations corresponded to 65% of total energy consumption.
We continuously work to reduce energy use, minimise waste and improve resource efficiency throughout our operations. During 2025, energy consumption per produced panel decreased from 7.32 kWh to 6.66 kWh through continued efficiency improvements.
Our products are designed to be durable, easy to disassemble and highly recyclable, supporting a more circular use of resources.
We also reduced the number of approved chemicals from 164 to 123 and significantly decreased the amount of unsorted waste generated in production. In 2025, the data quality in our climate calculations improved significantly. The proportion of supplier-specific emission factors has increased from 15% in 2023 to 17% in 2024 to 73% in 2025, which means that reliance on generic databases and default emission factors has decreased significantly. For the category of purchased goods and services, supplier-specific data, EPDs, and primary data are used to a large extent instead of general emission factors. This results in greater precision and improved reliability in the climate calculations, but at the same time affects comparability with previous years. The target is ambitious but necessary. By gradually reducing the climate footprint of the materials we use and developing more resource-efficient solutions, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable industry.

Safety first
Nothing we do should come at the expense of health and safety. When we must choose, we always choose what is safe, not what is fastest.
We have a clear vision of zero workplace accidents and continuously work to identify potential risks and implement preventive measures. Incidents, near misses and safety observations are followed up systematically to strengthen our safety culture and prevent future accidents.
Our goal is simple: to prevent incidents before they happen and move closer to our vision of zero accidents.
We put safety first
Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our employees, customers and partners. Safety is considered in every decision we make, from daily operations to long-term business planning.
We care about each other
Creating a safe workplace is a shared responsibility. We encourage employees to look out for one another, report risks and contribute to a culture where everyone feels responsible for safety.
We make it happen
Safety is embedded in our daily work. Through risk observations, safety walks, training and continuous improvements, we identify hazards early and take action before incidents occur.
We build a safer future
By investing in leadership, employee engagement and preventive safety work, we continuously strengthen our safety culture and move closer to our vision of zero accidents.
In 2025, 474 near misses were reported across the organisation. We see this as a positive sign of engagement and awareness. The more risks we identify and address proactively, the stronger our preventive safety work becomes.
By identifying and addressing risks proactively, we strengthen our preventive safety work and create a safer workplace every day.
