Our Commitment to Sustainability
We work to create safer workplaces, reduce environmental impact and contribute to long-term value across our entire value chain. Through responsible decisions, ethical business practices and continuous improvement, we take accountability for how our solutions are developed, produced and used, today and for the future.
Building sustainability into everything we do
From responsible operations to ethical partnerships, sustainability is an integral part of how Axelent creates long-term value.
At Axelent, sustainability is integrated into how we operate, produce and develop as a company. We believe that long-term value is created when safety, efficiency and environmental care work together. Our focus is to reduce our impact, support healthy workplaces and contribute to a better society.
Reports and policies
For us, success is not just about growth in numbers, but about the positive impact we have on people, businesses, and communities - every day

How we reduce our environmental impact
Focused actions across the entire value chain
We work continuously to reduce our environmental footprint through responsible material choices, reduced waste and efficient use of resources. We review our energy consumption and work actively to increase the share of renewable energy in our operations. By improving processes and working closely with partners, we aim to reduce emissions and make our production more sustainable over time.
We take responsibility for the full life cycle of our solutions from raw materials and production to transport, planning and support for recycling where possible. Our goal is to make steady, measurable progress and ensure that our decisions today support a healthier planet in the future.

At Axelent, we feel responsible to be part of the solution and actively work towards a more sustainable future for generations to come.
People and working environment
Sustainability also means taking care of people. We prioritise safe working environments, clear routines and a culture built on respect and responsibility. Our employees are an essential part of our success, and we work to ensure fair conditions, equal opportunities and a safe workspace for everyone.
We invest in health, well-being and skills development. We follow ethical guidelines that support a responsible and transparent way of working, and we expect the same high standards from our partners and suppliers.
Supporting growth through people
We invest in competence development through training, internal career paths and a workplace culture that encourages curiosity and continuous improvementinnovation. To promote diversity and fair recruitment, we use structured hiring practices and work actively to strengthen our employer brand. To secure future talent, we collaborate with schools, offer internships and participate in fairs and student programmes.
Employee engagement and workplace culture
How our employees experience their work environment is essential to our success. In 2024, we introduced global digital employee surveys to strengthen feedback and development, followed up by managers and teams. All new hires are invited to Hillerstorp, building belonging and connection across regions. Activities organised by our staff club and shared events further support collaboration and a strong sense of community.
Health, safety and well-being
Safety, service and smart solutions guide our work across all sites. We aim for zero workplace accidents and follow up on incidents, accidents and absences every month. In 2024, we implemented the IA system and reported 359 incidents, with an average of 5.1 per accident, strengthening our preventive efforts. We also began tracking LTA incidents and near misses.
To support employee health, we increased the wellness allowance and reached a utilisation rate of 65 percent. From 2025, employees will also have access to workplace massages and 24/7 counselling services.
Child labour
Axelent does not tolerate child labour in any part of our operations. We also reject products or services from suppliers who use child labour, either directly or indirectly through subcontractors or business partners. We monitor compliance closely and require all suppliers to meet our standards for responsible and ethical production.
Fair remuneration
Axelent pays wages that meet or exceed the levels required by law or collective agreements. Remuneration must always cover employees’ basic needs. Temporary staffing or apprenticeship schemes must never be used to avoid legal or contractual obligations regarding social security, benefits or employee rights. We follow applicable legislation wherever we operate and ensure that compensation is fair and transparent.

Sustainability risks and responsibilities
We identify sustainability risks and opportunities by analysing our operations, our value chain and future developments. Together with customers and other stakeholders, we address these risks early and work to turn them into opportunities for lower environmental impact and improved long-term performance.

Our role in society
Our commitment extends beyond our own operations. With origins in Småland and a global presence, we take responsibility for the impact we have on the communities around us. We support local initiatives, contribute to social development and work to be a positive force wherever we operate.
We believe that strong relationships and long-term thinking create value for both society and business. By acting responsibly and staying true to our principles, we help build a more sustainable future.
Moving forward
Sustainability is a continuous effort. We monitor progress, evaluate goals and adapt our approach as industries and expectations evolve. Our focus remains the same. We want to reduce our environmental impact, support people in their daily work and contribute to a safer and more sustainable world.
Our decisions today shape the workplaces of tomorrow, and we take that responsibility seriously.
