How do you make an office not just run smoothly  but also feel welcoming, thoughtful, and inspiring? At Axelent, there’s someone whose job is exactly that. She makes sure the details are in place, the day flows, and the atmosphere stays positive.

Meet our Mood Manager a key player who combines structure with service and a sharp sense for what people need to feel good at work.

What do you enjoy most about working with people and the office environment today, compared to when you first started?

The best part of working with people and the office environment is that no two days are ever the same. The needs vary greatly,  from the big to the small and that’s what makes it so exciting! Seeing the joy when a task is completed or when someone receives the help they needed is incredibly rewarding and energizing.

The main difference now compared to when I started is that the role is much more flexible and I have amazing colleagues who are always there with support and a helping hand when needed. We’re a creative team that brings out the best in each other and we act as sounding boards no matter the issue.

Which part of your job do you think is often underestimated, but essential for the office to run smoothly?

It’s the everyday details like having pens and notepads available when needed, access cards working properly, fruit ready for the afternoonn coffee break or making sure the breakfast sandwich is gluten-free when required. The company car needs to be charged at a reasonable rate, the padel court/gym/arena should be accessible when booked and that ordered lunch, coffee or bouquet of flowers must arrive at the right time and place.

What is the biggest misconception people have about your role as Mood Manager?

That’s probably a question a lot of people ask. Sure, I make coffee and help ensure everyone feels good  that’s part of it. But I also handle many other important tasks that may go unnoticed, yet are absolutely essential for things to run smoothly. It’s those small, behind-the-scenes efforts that keep the ship afloat, so to speak.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to work with service, events, or creating a great atmosphere in the workplace?

A simple piece of advice is to ask yourself: do you enjoy working with people (all kinds!), and do you find the social dynamic important and fun? Do you thrive in an ever-changing environment and are you a creative person who loves contributing with new ideas and positive energy? Then this role is perfect for you!

What’s the best part about working at Axelent, in your opinion?

The best thing about working at Axelent is that no idea or thought is ever too small to try out. Even though things move fast here, there’s still a strong feeling that we’re a family. The “Axelent spirit” is the most important ingredient in our success. It’s something we need to protect, nurture, and pass on to new colleagues so that everyone becomes part of it.
